My friend Sarah's cat Cleo will occasionally come over to visit. Morrissey is an indoor cat and rarely gets to interact with other animals, so I think an occasional "play date" with his pal Cleo is good for him. As you can see Cleo's idea of fun is napping, while Morrissey's idea of fun is attempting to rouse him with a friendly swat.
Har Mar Superstar played next. He is such a spectacle. He's one of those performers who knows how to work a crowd. By the second song he had the whole audience swooning. Everyone seems to think he looks like the Jon Lovitz character from that animated show The Critic. Part of his whole performance is stripping off his layers of clothing. I've heard he used to take EVERYTHING off but I was so grateful he kept his pants on. I think I would have been more appalled by his appearance if I hadn't had two Whiskey Sours before he took the stage. Here's an excerpt from a review of one of his shows by The Independent - "The essence of what he does hasn't changed: a not-obviously-sexy man (small in stature, receding mullet, slight belly, hairy back) singing hilariously arrogant songs about being the world's greatest lover, while managing to mimic some of the funkiest talents who ever lived." "Speaking of which, within three songs he's topless, and by the closer - his wickedly funny ode to sex in the workplace, "Powerlunch" - he's down to his tortoiseshell Y-fronts, throwing back-drops and pirouettes, jumping off-stage, cruising the front row, and rubbing his sweaty manflesh along the barrier bunnies." So in conclusion Har Mar Superstar is rad live (although don't get too close - he was dripping sweat). Go see him! Or at the very least go buy his CD.
Yesterday I purchased a new collar and bed for my cat Morrissey. And the total came to $50! The store was even having a 30% off sale and it STILL came to that much. He's smitten with his new bed. I wasn't sure if he'd be into it seeing how fickle cats are about things like that. The collar on the other hand did not impress him. I think it's lovely though and really that's all that matters. It's pink and spells out "Moz" in swarovski crystal. 
Lately I cannot get enough of these cookies. They're sugar cookies with M&M's. And for a while I was purchasing them at this coffee shop near my apartment. But I promptly stopped when I realized that they were using "faux" M&M's! How dare they. So then I discovered another place that makes the cookies with mini M&M's! I suppose I could just start making them myself. But really that just seems like too much trouble. 
This is probably way more information than you ever wanted to know about my cat Morrissey, but I don't care. So this last month he had a bladder infection. Which he acquired due to the high protein cat food I was feeding him. I was feeding him that particular food to help with his fur balls. He has such a problem with them. He is a Himalayan after all. So now I can't feed him the high protein food and he's been throwing up fur balls. So gross! I know. So I went to the pet store and they suggested buying some wheatgrass for him to chew on to help with the fur balls. And he just loves it! It's like his own little plot of grass inside the house. Congrats Jay! Loved the drama with Kara over the shoes. That girl has some nerve.
I had my taxes done. I'm getting about $550 back. So much less than last year. And it's all going into my "trip to Europe" fund. Last year it all went towards a Marc Jacobs Stella bag. I'd like to continue with the tradition of a new MJ bag a year but my Europe fund is in dire need of cash.
So everyone knows about Friendster. But what about Dogster and Catster? I just discovered them a few days ago and decided to make a profile for my cat Morrissey ( Catster :: A Walk Through The Cat Den ). 
And within LESS than 24 hours I received Email from 35 people requesting that Morrissey be friends with their cats. It's hard to deal with the fact that your cat is more popular than you. I've had Friendster since September and aside from the occasional message from a random foreigner or two I have only received 2 friend requests. Le sigh.
